Newsletter – Fall 2015

Hello Friends, Family & Supporters,

We hope this finds you hale and hearty this autumn! The leaves are falling, winter is on its way and we have a lot to share with you!

TEDxOn May 29th, WIN was honoured to be the theme sponsor of TEDxTheGlebeWomen. Featuring carefully curated content from TEDWomen and 6 inspirational speakers: Pamela Henry, Mailyne Briggs, Andrea Hogue Reyolds, Sarika Mathur, Manjit Basi, and Peggy Taillon. Special thanks go to the Director of Programming, Pamela Henry, without whom the event could not have been a success; and to the team of volunteers who put on a world class event at the Museum of Nature.

Successful Fundraisers

WIN has been busy reaching out to the community with fundraisers including the Great Glebe Garage Sale in May, another of our favourite Stand Up for the WIN Absolute Comedy shows in April, a Bottle Drive for the WIN in September, and a continuation of our ongoing eWaste recycling fundraisers with local schools St. Francis Xavier and St. Joseph.

Thank you to all who supported WIN in these many ways!
