PR – Hintonburg Fabric Flea Market – May 8

IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Representatives of Women’s Integration Network Inc. joined in on the Third Annual Hintonburg Fabric Flea Market this past Saturday. Held at the Hintonburg Community Centre on Wellington, the sale brings together local businesses, craft enthusiasts, and fabric collectors from across the city to support a number of great causes.

WIN Inc. has been the recipient of a variety of generous, anonymous, and life-honouring donations of fabric over the past year. The fabric has been available for purchase at various garage sales, online sales, and local businesses.

The Hintonbburg Fabric Flea Market provided WIN Inc. with an opportunity to connect and share the organization’s vision with craft-enthusiasts and fabric collectors alike, as well as notable community members including Yasir Naqvi, Provincial Liberal Candidate.

Up next for the organization is the Great Glebe Garage Sale on Saturday, May 24. Participating in this infamous Ottawa institution, the organization is not only hosting a multi-family garage sale but will also have their extensive fabric collection for sale. To join in on the fun, visit 422 Third Avenue (corner of Bronson and Third).

Founded in 2012 WIN Inc. is a collaborative community initiative currently based in Ottawa, Ontario. Gathering together experts in the fields of social work, therapy, research, and project management they are developing programs and initiating research to promote awareness of the challenges faced by vulnerable women in Canada. Their vision is to facilitate an environment that is conducive to supporting women to achieve self- empowerment.

At its core, WIN Inc. seeks to develop a mentoring program that will offer women in Ottawa volunteer opportunities to support other women to develop social networks; to introduce alternatives, choices, and resources; and to support cultural differences.
